Features & Benefits:

The Rosemount Series 3100 Ultrasonic Level Transmitter is a cost-effective measurement solution for a wide range of applications. It has no moving parts, corrosion resistant PVDF wetted material and a non-contacting measuring method. So, it requires almost no maintenance. It is unaffected by liquid dielectric constant, viscosity and density changes. Additionally the 3100 Series offers the following benefits:

  • Low cost of installation
  • Low cost of commissioning
  • Minimal maintenance costs
  • Process downtime minimized

  • The transmitters are available with threaded or flanged connections, making them easy to install. Several pre-programmed laws and strapping tables make configuration easy. Configuration can be performed by using the local operator interface or HART® configuration tools such as the 375 Field Communicator or AMS™Suite: Intelligent Device Manager.
  • The transmitters can be used with the Rosemount 3490 Series of wall and panel mounted control units, providing power and comprehensive control options. The transmitter is available with two integral relays, adding to the local control functionality.
  • The non-contact sensor is made from an inert material offering superior corrosion resistance and low maintenance requirements.
  • The integral or remote mounted temperature sensor enables automatic corrections where temperature changes in the tank free space could otherwise result in an inaccurate reading.
  • The local programming menu is easy to use. The 3100 may be installed using the 2 in. thread or available flange options either directly to the vessel or on a suitable bracket above the liquid surface. Three internal buttons are used to program the transmitter with the tank depth and the range for the 4-20mA output.
A built-in LCD display under the cover is provided to aid setting up.The user navigates through an intuitive menu, entering data as prompted by the transmitter. Intelligent software ensures only data specific to the chosen application is requested, minimizing programming time.
